Rakuzan Pottery

沿革・特徴 江戸時代の初期、延宝年間、萩の陶工、倉崎権兵衛を祖とし、松江藩の御用窯として創業した。 その後、享和元年（1801年）松平不昧公が中絶を惜しみ、名工長岡住右衛門に、再興させ、明治のころから楽山焼と呼ばれるようになった。茶道が主体である。 主な製品 抹茶碗・水差・香合

Rakuzan Pottery
At the beginning of the Edo Era(1603-1867), this pottery was established by an ancestor of the Hagi pottery Gonbei Kurasaki. In 1801, it was revived by the famous potter Sumiemon Nagaoka under the orders of Fumaiko Matsudaira. It came to be known as Rakuzan Pottery from around the beginning of the 19th century onwards. This range mainly concentrates on utensils for tea ceremony.
